Bono is being wooed to appear on a new TV show.
Andrew Lloyd Webber is searching for a lead for his hit musical Jesus Christ Superstar in a new TV talent series. He wants to go all out to make the programme a ratings winner, and apparently thinks U2 rocker Bono would be perfect on the judging panel.
'It''s definitely a long shot, there''s no doubt about that,' a source told British newspaper The Sun. 'But Andrew is keen to get Bono on board and if anyone could pull off something like this, then it is him."
The composer is so set on working with Bono he has even changed the format of the upcoming series.
Rather than being normal length, the show will only last for two weeks. Andrew apparently hopes this will appeal to the Irish rocker, whose busy schedule means he has time constraints.
Last month, it was reported Andrew's 'number one target' for the TV show was former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger.
It's now been confirmed she won't be returning for judging duties on the US version of The X Factor, meaning she has more time on her hands.
'Andrew is obsessed with Nicole - he thinks the world of her,' a source said at the time.
'As soon as he got the nod his new show was going to happen, Nicole was his number one target. He''s got a great working relationship with her and Nicole hugely respects his work.'
One judge has already been confirmed. Steve Balsamo has previously starred in the show''s West End production and will sit on the show's panel.here to win an iPhone5!
