Boardmasters 2014, the UK's biggest surf and music festival, takes place on the beautiful Cornish coastline from Wednesday 6 August to Sunday 10 August.
Established in 1981, Boardmasters is a 5-day event situated in two legendary locations in Cornwall. At Fistral Beach, the UK's surfing mecca, Boardmasters will host the International Surf Competition from 6 August as well as the 'Beach Sessions' gigs Skindred and Fink headlining, BMX and Skate competitions. The festival continues down at Watergate Bay, arguably the most picturesque festival site in the UK with beautiful, uninterrupted views of the ocean for a weekend of explosive live music.
The International Surf Competition at the UK's surfing mecca, Fistral Beach is expected to attract a record number of fans, family and friends to watch the thrilling surf competition unfold. Looking to take home their share of the £22,000 total prize purse, £2K more than last year's purse, surfers from the UK and around the world will be competing in this year's categories: Men's Open, Women's Open, Men's Longboard, Pro Junior (under 20s), Grom Masters (under 16s) and Air Show.

The festival has grown year on year with 2013 seeing over 150,000 visitors. Andrew Topham, Festival Director, said: 'Boardmasters 2014 not only has its biggest music line up to date with still more to come, but also a really strong International Surf Competition, which we are thrilled to have been able to increase prize money for this year by £2K. The event promises to be a festival on the calendar not to be missed!'

Boardmasters operates a tiered ticket system with price bands for tickets changing over time. The sooner you buy, the cheaper it is!
