Blood Red Shoes have unveiled the dark new video for In Time To Voices’ album cut ‘The Silence and The Drones’.

With a more disturbing and surreal quality to it than the band’s previous visuals, the video was shot in Jakarta by Craig Murray and features a dreamlike struggle through deep water with detailed illustrations, and the appearance of a very well known mystery guest.

Steven Ansell says of the video,
“‘The Silence and The Drones’ is one of our favourite songs from the last record, partly because it's quite different from what we normally do. So we asked our friend Craig Murray to make a video that was dark and beautiful and nothing like a regular rock video. He went to Indonesia and came back with this.”

Of the creation process, Craig Murray explains,
“The film was made in a pretty old fashion way; no after effects were used and it was built partly on a scanner frame by frame with a pencil. The paper moth was animated by folding and unfolding it on the bed of the scanner... pretty much every part of the film employed a lengthy process to create.”

The band recently release three new songs in the form of the ‘Water’ EP, recorded with John Congleton (The Roots/The Walkmen/Explosions In The Sky) in Texas. The EP can be streaming in full and ordered at www.bloodredshoes.co.uk
