Justin Bieber’s team apparently miss his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez and the good influence she had on him.

The young singer has hit headlines for a variety of controversial reasons recently, such as the two-hour late-running of his London show on Monday.

His tardy appearance left the parents of young fans irate, causing the teenage heartthrob to make an apology on his Twitter page the following day.

Since splitting with on/off girlfriend Selena, the 19-year-old has also been snapped smoking what appears to marijuana, with his team reportedly missing the pretty brunette’s calming influence.

“They’d get her to convince him to do things he needed to do. He’d listen to just her,” an insider told the New York Daily News’ Confidenti@l column.

Justin was due on stage at 8.30pm on Monday evening, but didn’t start his show until almost two hours later.

The star later tweeted the situation has been “exaggerated” and quoted “technical problems” as the reason, but reports now suggest he was handed a hefty £300,000 fine in response.

The charge was apparently imposed by London’s Greenwich Council, calculating £10,000 for every minute the singer went over venue The O2 arena’s strict 11pm live music curfew.

Despite Justin’s apologetic tweets, it’s been claimed the real reason for his show’s late-running was due to a fight with his team and family.

"He was arguing with members of his management, his family. It was a really uncomfortable atmosphere. His attitude was, ‘I’m the star and I can do what I want’,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.

Justin followed his late show with a second concert last night, arriving two minutes earlier than planned.
