Jay-Z and Beyoncé Knowles have reportedly bought a £5.5 million mansion in West London.
Reports emerged recently the music industry heavyweights are preparing to hit the road this summer for a joint concert tour across America.
And rumours their shows will reach the UK this fall seem to be confirmed, as it is claimed the pair purchased a detached home in an exclusive London neighbourhood four weeks ago.
“Both Jay and Beyoncé are Anglophiles and have been toying with the idea of getting a pad for a couple of years now,” a source told British newspaper The Mirror.
“They are coming to England this year and touring before the year is out.”
Apparently Jay-Z and Beyoncé visit London so often, they believed it would be a good idea to have a property there.
Although their prior stays in England’s capital city have been excellent, the couple, who are parents to two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, supposedly wanted a residence of their own to call home.
“On previous trips, they have stayed in five star hotels and, on one occasion, a rented mansion,” the insider explained.
“While money isn’t an issue, it makes sense for them to have a more permanent base and get to know one particular area.”
The superstar husband and wife team have appeared on stage together several times of late, with the rapper joining his spouse for some dates of her The Mrs Carter Show tour.
The New York Post reported last week the pair will put on a 20-date tour that will kick off towards the end of June and could see them performing in New York on the July 4 holiday.
