Beyoncé Knowles' diva reputation has been dismissed by an official for America's National Football League.
The singer has been subject to unflattering reports about her behaviour during rehearsals for the Super Bowl half-time show on Sunday.
The star was said to be making outrageous demands, including a request that her one-year-old daughter Blue Ivy's backstage nursery be kept at exactly 78 degrees Fahrenheit.
The NFL's Vice President of Communications Brian McCarthy balks at the claims.
The executive told TMZ Beyoncé has been far from demanding. He called the reports 'pure pulp fiction'.
'Beyoncé and her team have been great to work with throughout this process,' he said, adding, 'We have enjoyed her creativity, vision and spirit in putting on a great show that is truly a Super Bowl performance.'
The denial follows a week of controversy for the star.
Beyoncé made headlines earlier this month when she was accused of lip-synching at the inauguration ceremony for US President Barack Obama.
An audio engineer for the musical programme has denied the allegation. The singer has not commented on that report.
She has appeared to remain upbeat throughout rehearsals, posting a series of behind-the-scenes images from Super Bowl half-time rehearsals to her Instagram account this week.
It is rumoured she will be joined by Destiny's Child bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland for the February 3 show.
The NFL's production costs for half-time entertainment are estimated to be around $600,000.
Producers have yet to confirm if Beyoncé's performance will feature any surprise guests.
