Beyoncé Knowles considers her performance at the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony 'one of her proudest moments.'
During a Super Bowl halftime press conference on Thursday, the 31-year-old star openly commented on lip-synching the National Anthem at January's political event.
Beyoncé attaches no shame to her show, as she worked hard to move listeners.
"I am a perfectionist," she revealed.
"One thing about me, I practice until my feet bleed. I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra. It was a live television show. It was a very important emotional show for me, one of my proudest moments.'
Apparently there were too many glitches on the day and Beyoncé simply was nervous about performing live.
"Due to the weather, due to the delay, due to no proper sound check, I did not feel comfortable taking a risk,' she explained.
'It was about the President [Barack Obama], the Inauguration. I wanted to make him and my country proud, so I decided to sing along to my pre-recorded track, which is very common in the music industry. I'm very proud of my performance.'
Beyoncé is elated to be performing at the Super Bowl halftime show.
Audiences can expect no lip-synching from the singer at this event.
"I will absolutely be singing live," she said. "This is what I was born to do."
It is rumoured she will be joined by Destiny's Child bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland for the February 3 show.
The NFL's production costs for half-time entertainment are estimated to be around $600,000.
Producers have yet to confirm if Beyoncé's performance will feature any surprise guests.
