Beyoncé Knowles will reportedly grace the stage at Super Bowl XLVII.
The pop superstar is set to perform during half time at the American National Football League’s sensational sporting event next year, according to the Associated Press.
Beyoncé and her team are rumoured to be making the official announcement on Wednesday.
The star has been keeping a relatively low profile since giving birth to her and husband Jay-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy in January.
Jay-Z completed the last of his eight shows at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn earlier this month and Beyoncé joined her rapper husband on stage for the final sold out concert.
The 31-year-old Dreamgirls star pulled out of Clint Eastwood’s upcoming film A Star Is Born last week due to scheduling conflicts.
The Super Bowl garners around 100 million viewers annually.
At the 2012 function, which is the largest sporting event in the US, Madonna took to the stage with Nicki Minaj, M.I.A. and Cee Lo Green.
Super Bowl XLVII will be held at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on February 3 2013.
