Beyoncé Knowles’ mother Tina can’t wait to be with her family on Mother’s Day.
Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z welcomed daughter Blue Ivy Carter into the world in January.
Tina believes that this Sunday’s holiday is especially significant.
“[We're] all going to be together,” Tina gushed to Us Weekly. “We're excited because it's Beyoncé’s first Mother's Day.”
There will be many full bellies at the dinner table at the Knowles’ residence this weekend.
“I'm hoping to cook! I want to cook,” Tina shared. “My traditional soul food and maybe gumbo. That's my favourite dish!”
Beyoncé looked stunning at the Met Gala Monday in a Givenchy Haute Couture gown. Her fashion designer mother definitely approves of the singer’s dress choice.
“She looked amazing,” Tina said. “I think she looked absolutely amazing.”
Beyoncé spoke at the ball about how she is already thinking of expanding her brood.
"I definitely want to have more," she told ET Online.
"I don't know how many. God knows I don’t know yet."
