B.B. King is alive and well no matter what Twitter says

We weren't aware of it but evidently Twitter was abuzz all day Monday about B.B. King dieing of a stroke. Fortunately, it's not true.

Reports say that it all started on a site called Musicouch and a user named Joesixpack who posted the false information. The writer even mentioned a service next week and a public gathering after the holidays. From their, it spread across the internet like a wildfire.

Tommy Peters of B.B. King's Blues Club said that "B.B. is alive and well. He just got off tour last Wednesday, and went home for Thanksgiving. He's in Las Vegas, and was resting there this morning. It's unfortunate, but with the way the Internet is today, anybody can post anything."

King's own website also went into damage control, posting "We just want to let all the fans know that B.B. King is alive and well and continues to tour as normal."
