Axl Rose reportedly requested blackout blinds for his penthouse suite after partying all night.

The rocker and his bandmates arrived at the Shore Club hotel in Miami Beach on Sunday afternoon. The group had performed in Orlando on Saturday night and were so happy with the show, they decided to celebrate. After staying up late, they checked into their hotel – but Axl was insistent on catching up on his sleep.

“While the bleary-eyed band trooped inside the hotel, Rose refused to get out of the bus for two hours because he was sleeping,” a source told New York Post. “When he was escorted upstairs, he asked that the floor-to-ceiling windows in his penthouse be completely blacked out, so he could sleep better.”

The 50-year-old musician clearly managed to get some rest as he sent the crowd into a frenzy during his concert in Miami on Monday evening.

The band then continued to let loose by inviting a host of fellow revellers back for another party after the show.

“[They] had a group of people escorted to the penthouse at 3am, and they partied right through to 3pm the next day,” the source added.

This isn’t the first time Axl has been on a mission to get a good sleep.

In November last year, the star decided to keep slumbering on his tour bus when his group arrived at another Miami hotel.

Traffic was held up and a path was cleared for the rocker to make him way to his room, but as fans began to gather there was no sign of Axl.

“One after another, each crew member got off the bus, with no sign of Axl Rose. As the crowd built up, one guest asked security, ‘Where’s Axl?’ - to which a guard replied, ‘Still sleeping on the tour bus. Nobody disturbs a sleeping Axl,’” New York Post reported at the time.
