André 3000 is convinced most people think about “crazy things”.

The 29-year-old rapper is gearing up for his new exhibition, ‘i feel ya’, which debuts at Art Basel in Miami next month.

The showing features all the jumpsuits André created for OutKast’s 20th reunion tour and the musician believes his designs will resonate with people.

“Sometimes, we think of these crazy things — we just don’t say them,” he revealed in a YouTube interview with Paula Wallace, Founder and President of the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). “I’m just trying to say ‘I think.’ You know? Just like we all do.”

André’s ‘i feel ya’ exhibit is presented in conjunction with SCAD and he’s moved by the way students initiated the whole project.

The star had no idea wearing jumpsuits would end up being a showing at Art Basel.

“It was just fun to me. And it started with one or two suits… The response was great. It was to start a conversation and that’s what it has done,” he explained. “I never knew that the suits can turn into a film or any installation in that way. Its become something greater than what it started. Collaboration makes things greater than what they are.”

André rose to fame as one half of OutKast alongside rapper Big Boi and has gone on to have a successful solo career.

He has also dipped his toe into acting and is set to portray the late music legend Jimi Hendrix in movie Jimi: All Is by My Side.
