Anastacia has been diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time, forcing her to cancel her European tour.

The singer battled the disease in 2003, after discovering she had it during a routine mammogram before her planned breast reduction surgery.

She had operations and underwent radiotherapy and managed to beat the disease. However, the 44-year-old star has now announced her cancer has returned.

“Anastacia has sadly been diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time after having successfully survived her 2003 battle with the disease,” a post on her Facebook page read. “Consequently she has been forced to cancel all performances, tours and any travel from now until further notice.”

Her European tour was due to kick off in London on April 6. The star has spoken of how devastated she is to be cancelling the dates.

“I feel so awful to be letting down all my amazing fans who were looking forward to It's A Man's World Tour. It just breaks my heart to disappoint them," she said.

The star had been planning to take to the stage in Milan, Paris, Vienna and Munich, amongst others.

She is planning to continue work on her upcoming album, with the post stating she is refusing to become depressed by her diagnosis.

“Anastacia will continue the writing and recording of her new album despite her diagnosis and hopes to schedule a new tour as soon as possible. Now more than ever, she is determined to live by her motto, ‘Don't ever let cancer get the Best of You!’ A born survivor, Anastacia has one goal and that is to make a full recovery with the support of her family, friends and everyone around her,” the statement continued.
