Amy Winehouse’s ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil has been rushed to hospital following a drink and drugs binge, according to reports.
The 30-year-old was apparently found by his partner Sarah Aspin choking on his own vomit.
The mother of his 15-month-old son Jack told Britain’s The Sun newspaper that Blake is suffering from multiple organ failure.
“The doctors say they don’t know the prognosis,” Sarah told the publication. “They said they put him in a coma to help him and due to infection.”
“I’m praying he’ll survive, but I’m having to prepare myself that he may never wake up.”
Blake had recently served time in prison and his collapse comes just days after the first anniversary of the death of the Back to Black singer.
Sarah added that she was “just devastated at what has happened” and doctors warn that they cannot rule out permanent brain damage.
Sarah met Blake in rehab three years ago. She says that he had come home “slurring his words and staggering” and she found him the next morning “looking completely grey” with his “eyes rolled back and his mouth was locked together.”
Blake had been blamed by many for Amy’s downfall and but her father Mitch said that he does not hold him responsible for his daughter’s death.
