The veteran rockers, fronted by Steven Tyler, were scheduled to play at the Concord Pavilion in the Northern California city Wednesday night as part of their Let Rock Rule tour.

But a spokesperson for the venue announced the concert had been cancelled at the last minute Wednesday.

"Due to illness, Aerosmith has been forced to cancel tonight's performance at the Concord Pavilion in Concord, CA. The band regrets not being able to perform for their fans. Refunds will be available at point of purchase,” a message on the venue’s Facebook page read.

Promoters at Live Nation also released a statement on the company’s website.

"This event has been canceled. Refunds at Point of Purchase only. Internet & Phone orders will automatically be canceled & refunded,” the announcement read.

TMZ reports the cancellation came after drummer Joey Kramer suffered from heart complications, adding the rocker plans to undergo surgery.

The 64-year-old musician has reportedly had heart problems in the past.

According to the San Jose Mercury News, band spokeswoman Marcee Rondan said she could not release more information about the illness.

"The band apologises for the inconvenience to its fans," she told the News.

The band also has a show scheduled in Washington Saturday. A source told TMZ that concert would be cancelled as well, however, that had yet to be confirmed at press time.
