5 Seconds of Summer are “still the same four guys” they were when they got together, producer John Feldmann has said.

The Australian boy band consists of Calum Hood, Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford and Ashton Irwin and has released hit singles such as She Looks So Perfect and Amnesia. But despite their success Red Bull Records writer and producer John says the boys haven’t really changed.

"It hasn't changed since day one. They're still the same four guys. They're like brothers," John told People magazine. "They love each other and know where they came from."

John produced eight of the band's tracks and has worked with Ashlee Simpson and Good Charlotte.

"They're all really good at what they do. I was just blown away,” he told People magazine of his first impression of 5SOS.

5 Seconds of Summer’s has supported Brit boy band One Direction on the Take Me Home and Where We Are tours. And the group’s popularity doesn’t seem to be showing signs of slowing down, but the boys have said they don’t feel “special”.

"The whole fame aspect and stuff like that..." Calum previously told British newspaper Metro.

"Ultimately, we're just a pop-rock band who play music. We're nothing special, we're just dudes, and I think that's the difference between us and other people."

5 Seconds of Summer released their debut studio album in 2014 and their first worldwide headlining tour Rock Out with Your Socks Out will kick off in May next year.
