Miley Cyrus is catching up on her reading in the hospital so she “doesn’t die a pop dumb dumb”.

The 21-year-old pop star was hospitalised Wednesday after suffering a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics, forcing her to cancel several dates on her Bangerz Tour.

And while she’s unhappy about spending an indefinite amount of time on bedrest, the star is taking the opportunity to educate herself.

“reading books so i don't die a famous pop pop dumb dumb,” she mused in a Twitter post on Sunday (sic).
The remark came after a series of distraught tweets from the singer, who admitted she was feeling “seriously emo”.

Upset that she wasn’t able to partake in most marijuana smokers’ favourite holiday, she wrote: “Happy 420/ Easter! I'll be where I've been the passed week. In bed. Crying. NOT stoned. Wackkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk” (sic).

Miley has kept fans up to date on her condition via social media since she was forced to reschedule a series of concert dates after falling ill last week.

The star has had to delay all of the stops on her Bangerz Tour until August.

She admitted last Thursday she couldn’t “quit crying” and felt terrible about letting concertgoers down.

“i wanna go back on tour. im meant to be onstage performing for y'all.... not laying in a hospital bed," she wrote (sic).
It remains unclear when Miley will be released from the hospital.

“This type of extreme reaction can last from five to 27 days in these types of cases,” her spokesperson said in a previous statement, adding in part: “She will remain hospitalised and is under a doctor's care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time."
