It fair warms the cockles to note the ongoing story of the New York Dolls.

Since their triumphant return to the fray care of the Morrisey-curated Meltdown Festival on London's South Band in 2004, the surviving Dolls ' vocalist David Johansen and guitarist / MD Sylvain Sylvain have released three highly-acclaimed albums and toured to the kind of crowds that they never played to nearly four decades ago.

It is with great pride and pleasure, therefore, that we announce the release of a CD and DVD set entitled Live From The Bowery, a sizzling in-concert set from March 2011 that shows The Dolls collective in ferocious form. The set is released care of North London indie label Floating World.

Included in the set list are hoary Dolls favourites such as Private World, Looking For A Kiss, Personality Crisis and Jet Boy, alongside such recently-minted nuggets as Streetcake, 'Cause I Sez So and I'm So Fabulous, as well as the Johansen solo-era classic Funky But Chic, all played with a sleazy charm and manic intensity that is pure NYD.
