Baddies release second album 'Build'
18th June
The Times - 'like the Beastie Boys have challenged the Pixies to a sing off while Klaxons woo woo the fight along from the sidelines. And they're all loving it'
Released in september 2009, Baddies debut album 'Do The Job' was a independent success, selling over 10,000 copies on their own Medical label.
At the end of 2009 they returned to their hometown of Southend having travelled across Europe to Japan and Australia, and then back again. With an endless list of dates behind them, including a record 32 major festivals the year of its release (that's more appearances than any other band, anywhere in Europe, managed in 2009) the band took their time to carefully construct album number two: Build.
Behind the scenes at the production helm of the record is a close friend of the band, producer Sean Genockey (Futureheads, Reuben, Manic Street Preachers, Starsailor). Build is an organic progression from Baddies first full length 'Do The Job', keeping hold of all the sonic elements that define the bands character whilst exploring new territories and developing their musical personality. Their direct and spikey post-punk has been sharpened with maturity and experience resulting in an overwhelming assault on the senses.
In support of the 'Build' Baddies have just released a fantastic, tetris-like video for album opener 'Rewire'. You can watch it by clicking below
Build will be release on June 18th 2012. Phyrisal promos are available on request, as is a download code if required.
