Lily McKenzie has had a passion for singing and songwriting from a very early age, when she would write songs accompanying herself on the piano - the first instrument she ever learnt. The former Brit School student has honed her craft and sound to create a unique hybrid of classical acoustic soul, mixed with minimal and electronic elements.

Having collaborated with producers and artists such as Breakage, Wiley, Wookie, Brackles, Funkystepz, and Falty DL to name but a few, it's these collaborations that have enhanced her love for garage and UK bass which can be heard within her own records.

Having made a ripple on the scene and becoming a recognised name and talent amongst her musical peers, we thought we'd ask her pay us a little visit at The Garage Door. She gave us an incredible mash-up cover of James Blake's 'Retrograde' and Drake's 'I'm on One'... check it out below!
