The Pigeon Detectives

Animal is the first release by the Pigeon Detectives since 2011 and is preceded by a spring UK tour. Following suit with the majority of the indie band’s songs, Animal is short and sweet with a fast paced introduction. The song only lasts for 2 minutes 40 but the tempo stays at a consistently high speed throughout.

Matt Bowman’s consistency with the guitaring has to be praised, in which the ferocity of his voice matches the speed of the lead guitar. What Bowman may lack in quality, he certainly makes up for in passion, which is certainly displayed in his and the rest of the band’s eccentric live performances.
