The Hertfordshire five piece band, Scholars played support to Canterbury at The Sugarmill venue in Stoke-on-Trent. You never expect a lot from a supporting act, especially when they're not the main support, but Scholars pulled out all the stops, to a less than packed out Sugarmill.
It's like punk-rock meets Indie, just prepare yourself for the ride. The English rockers are ready to take the music scene by storm.

Enthusiasm comes to mind when Scholars are mentioned, their energy and buzz engulfed the crowd and soon enough, Scholars were on the minds of most that where ushered into the venue.
A powerful set from the band, fronted by lead singer; Sam Nicholls he appeared to stare out every member of the crowd, jumping from stage to floor every few seconds, it was as if there was nothing that could stop their energetic buzz.
They're a band that can definitely get a dead crowd tapping their feet and bopping their heads, with their catchy lyrics and their addictive riffs, it's no wonder why this band will be the talk of the town.
Scholars will put a smile on the biggest to smallest fan, through their music and their stage presence, they provide such a fantastic night fuelled with lively music and extremely bouncy bandmates.

A definite highlight of the night, and a great support to an even better headliner (Canterbury).
