Mistajam and Ministry of Sound have teamed up in a musical venture to deliver creative expertise for artist development. Speakerbox will be well placed to offer artists the creative environment in which to develop and succeed across recordings, compilations, events and merchandise and aspires to be ‘The Place for Bass’ in 2012.

Music News went down to check out the latest Speakerbox night at Corsica Studios. The night kicked off with DMC turntable champion DJ Cable spinning some heavyweight old school Hip Hop jams like Pharoah Monche’s ‘Simon Says’ leaving everyone’s heads bopping from the start of the night. With positive vibes and a music policy of dirty south trap music to gritty grime anthems, the night was already progressing into an eventful launch.

DJ’s Cable, Jacob Plant with Majestic, DJ Swerve and DJ Fusion warmed up the night with a whole spectrum of bass music. Pioneering radio 1 and 1xtra DJ Mistajam then took centre stage to deliver an extravagant performance breaking the barriers of genres with the innovating sound himself and Speakerbox are trying to push forward.

The night was definitely an eventful launch night and definitely a well deserved 8/10, with massive jukeboxes and inflatable speakers placed around the venue to provide the right setting. Props to the DJs and live PA’s from Majestic and Koder for keeping the night live and bubbly without an ounce of disappointment.

A number of high-profile events have already confirmed for this year including Speakerbox stages at Wireless, Creamfields, Snowbombing and Beachbreak Live.

Make sure your ears are glued to the Speakerbox in 2012 as MistaJam and Ministry of Sound bring you the most exciting new music around.
