JD Simon from electro pop band Le Tigre has his side project MEN well underway as they release their first single Credit Card Babies. It sounds like it could have been taken from Le Tigre’s back catalogue yet the theme of the track is probably a bit too comical for the original trio.

Again it’s a very catchy synth pop tune with all parts locked in very tightly in rhythm creating a seemingly mathematical yet catchy beat which sticks with the listener for hours after. The lyrics “I’m gonna fuck my best” will be ringing in your head for days to come; just be careful not to start singing out loud in public places. This track is love at first listen: perfect tempo, synth sounds, vocals – the whole track fits together so very well.
