Ocean Terminal is a small shopping centre in Edinburgh, a great place to avoid the tourists in town and get the Christmas shopping under way. Tonight however, Ocean Terminal shuts its shops and opens up as a dance floor, a raving ball in dedication to one of the country’s biggest DJs as she continues her tour: ladies and gentlemen and citizens of Leith, welcome to the decks Ireland’s finest Annie Mac.

Annie Mac brings with her tonight two support acts in the shape of Fakeblood and Simian Mobile Disco. Both acts have the dancefloor filled within seconds as the party heats up down in Leith. The atmosphere tonight is enthralling and welcoming, even if you don’t know your dance music or particularly enjoy getting sweaty with strangers, there is something beautiful about the DJ sets this evening.

Annie Mac takes to the stage with a cautious warning, asking everyone to take a step back and look after the people next to them. Everyone is eager to inch closer to the main lady, to literally feel the rhythm and boogie with the beats. Annie Mac is renowned for playing a new eclectic and underground mix of new musical genres such as electro, dubstep, dnb, hip-hop, and disco: tonight Annie does nothing less than show off this musical diversity that dubbed her one of the countries best DJs.
