Nate Campany has been plying his trade around the bars and cafes of Brooklyn for a few years now but this is his debut release and damn fine too.

His roots are in Americana and there is a lot of country in the musical backing but his songs are real pop with fine melodies and really tuneful refrains. His voice is clear and wistful and well suited to the songs. His band, The Serenade, played live in the studio during the recording which makes for a really live sound with real immediacy and punch.

Considering the fact that he has been writing for some massive acts over the years you would expect the songs to be strong and they don’t disappoint but there is a very personal feel to all the songs – these are not cast-offs from other sessions – and that adds to the individual feel.

A lot of people supported him in the making of this EP and they surely feel that their support and dollars has gone to a good cause. This guy will go far.
