Each Sunday throughout the summer at Madison you can now witness house music fuse with the sweet sounds of soul as an impressive line-up of live musicians, vocalists and DJs get set to provide your musical accompaniment to Sunday lunch.

Set on top of One New Change, and offering amazing views of our stunning capital and it's 17th century Baroque neighbour, the wonderful St. Paul's Cathedral, Madison boasts vistas to rival any fancy eatery.

Today's Sunday soundtrack of Lisa Millett and Neil Pierce serve up a fabulous accompaniment to the delectable three course meal courtesy of the Soul Sunday menu; three courses and half a bottle of wine for £45 per person.

With a large interior space for dinning and an outside terrace bar area hosting the DJ booth and musicians the space lends itself to the upbeat entertainment. Leicester-born vocalist Lisa Millett has been on the scene for a couple of decades working with Paul Oakenfold and Frankie Knuckles to the present day with DJ Spen, Jamie Lewis and Juan Kidd. With a background of classical music, jazz, roots and soul and progressive rock there is not much that this accomplished singer cannot sing. On today's performance the magic is still there and she is well worth checking out on the live circuit.

As the music is pumped into the glass windowed diner we start off with the Lobster & crayfish cocktail and Heritage beetroot & robiola washed down with an excellent prosecco. Music always sounds better interspersed with fine food.

When my roast Argentine sirloin with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese & shallot gravy arrived it was clear I had made the perfect choice. We can also vouch for the deep fried cod, pea puree, chips and tartare sauce. Served with a smile and Sunday soul beats as the sun shone on a gloriously beautiful day.

The sticky toffee pudding, brandy custard and roasted pecan nuts alongside the banana & miso caramel tart with creme fraiche, rounded off a delightfully relaxed Sunday afternoon.

With Sunday roast sharing platters also available Soul Sunday is perfect for a romantic meal for two or full family get together. If you’re not feeling up to a hearty roast, Madison’s a la carte menu offers a wide selection of brunch and light lunch dishes too.

Soul Sunday is a music lovers dream date with Madison’s Soul House Sessions which play between 1pm - 5pm. A delight for all the senses.
