The heart of London Gospel music scene hit new acoustic heights with a legendary funky Christmas evening hosted by London Community Gospel Choir at The Royal Albert Hall.

‘Out of many one voice’ rang true as the evening included a sprinkling of musical artists accompanying the Choir. The LCGC boasts some of the top Gospel singers in Europe.

The London Community Gospel Choir welcomed the Royal Albert Hall crowd with seasonal favourites including ‘Joy To The World’, ‘Come All Ye Faithful’, ‘Hallelujah’ of which their soulful vocal gymnastics and fresh tracks got the crowd including Princess Beatrice who ‘was enjoying the night’ up on their feet and dancing in the aisles.

‘Oh Holy Night’, ‘Away In A Manger’, ‘Joyful Joyful’ were sung by Emeli Sande among other special guest appearances who ran with their up-tempo take on seasonal tunes adding the touch of dynamic Gospel fire.

Lifting the crowds to a powerful, energetic finale - the choir was joined by the line up of special guest artists for a raucous rendition of ‘Oh Happy Days’.

Never pigeonhole the LCGC, they are adaptable, flexible and create dynamic melodies with funky gospel flair, and jaw-dropping vocals.
