Aged 12, Abbey Rowe received a gift that would reshape her world. Her father gave her a guitar and suddenly she was hooked. Having already built her vocal ability as part of the school choir, the guitar allowed her the freedom to express her inner thoughts through song. With her lifelong ambition shaped at an early age, she arrives at her debut single Miss Wannabe determined to be one of 2018's breakout starts.

2017 - what will you look back on most fondly from the year?

I think the friendships I have either made, or strengthened in the past year.

Did you make any new year's resolutions at the outset of 2017?

I’m not normally one to make resolutions but this year I want to truly put my all into becoming the person I want to be in my music career and my personal life in 2018!

What was the biggest lesson you learned in 2017?

If you don’t do your laundry, you won’t have clothes.

What was the musical highlight of 2017?

Probably releasing my single, Miss Wannabe

Who are you excited to hear from in 2018?

I’m pretty pumped for Kacey Musgraves’ new record!

Tell us about your current music?

It’s a different taste to the ears. I love listening to 90’s country so I wanted to take some of those roots but re-plant them in the modern and I believe it’s something people won’t be able to help but dance and groove to!

If you had to pick three artists to be filed next to, who would they be and why?

Shania Twain, Brad Paisley, and the Dixie Chicks. All three are musical influences for me

What inspired "Miss Wannabe"?

The lyric comes from a boy I had broken up with back in high school. About a week after we had broken up I saw him walking down the hall way with a girl who was the spitting image of myself and I couldn’t help but think he just couldn’t get over me, so he just tried to replace me! And musically I wanted something reminiscent of a “Before He Cheats” by Carrie Underwood vibe, and I love the way we captured that.

If "Miss Wannabe" were an animal, what animal would it be?

A copy cat!

Define your sound in five words...

Fun, Authentic, Sassy, Unique, and Witty

If you could jam with one artist alive or dead, who would it be?

Shania Twain all the way. Shania, if you’re reading this, let’s go girl!

If you could have written one song by another artist, what would it be?

Strawberry Wine by Deana Carter, hands down.

Someone is making a film of your life, who will play you?

In the amazing event that this happened either Blake Lively or Reese Witherspoon.

Lastly, tell us one thing you have never revealed in an interview...

Hi, my name is Abbey Rowe, and I am a shopaholic.
