The Strypes - Ross Farrelly (Vocals), Josh McClorey (Guitar), Pete O'Hanlon (Bass), Evan Walsh (Drums) - interviewed by Skype from Ireland on September 29th 2017.

The Strypes will head out on a headline UK tour this Autumn, following the release of their critically-acclaimed album ‘Spitting Image’.

The widely celebrated Irish four-piece will kick off the latest dates on 4 October in Birmingham before visiting Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Brighton and finishing up in London on 12 October.

The band’s third studio album. ‘Spitting Image’, produced by Ethan Johns, has been hailed a fabulously diverse record that effortlessly transcends their roots in adrenalised R&B. The Strypes music has been credited as “raw…lip-curling explosions of adolescent concerts delivered with blistering musicianship” (The Guardian) and their live performance and on stage chemistry earning them praise as “a formidable live act” (Louder Than War).

Latest single ‘Great Expectations’ sees The Strypes doing what exactly what they do best – thrilling drum rolls and rousing guitar riffs that perfectly echo the vibe of Irish rock icon Phil Lynott.
