New Model Army’s thrilling new album ‘Winter” has become the band’s highest charting album in 23 years across Europe. The album which was released in September reached 20 in Germany, 25 in the UK and was top 50 in Austria and Switzerland.
Reactions to the album from the media further highlights that New Model Army, 36 years into their career, are enjoying a creative renaissance as they head out on part one of a headline European tour.
New Model Army have also recently collaborated with New York City based artist Matt Huynh to create a graphic novel (see attached) to accompany three songs from “Winter.” Earlier this year Matt was awarded the World Illustration Award in the Editorial Professional category. Also nominated for Australian of the Year, appointed ambassador for New Beginnings Refugee Arts Festival on World Refugee Day, and awarded a special commendation by the United Nations Media Peace Awards.
His 60 page graphic novel collaboration with New Model Army will be available on the forthcoming New Model Army European tour. On the UK shows (below) the band will be supported by Mad Dog Mcrea.
