New pop punk heavyweights, Knuckle Puck, released their debut album ,Copacetic, to incredibly positive reviews. Now they return to the UK to tour with upcoming pop punkers and best mates, Seaway, and new UK hotspots, Boston Manor. The happy-go-lucky band sat down with Music-News.com before their Liverpool show to show why they are one of the most anticipated and loved bands in their scene.

Music-News: How is Liverpool and are you enjoying the tour?

Joe: Liverpool is sick, it’s got a lot colder though. We were at the market before too.
Nick: There was a guy dressed as Bumblebee from Transformers and he transformed in front of me

MN: How are Seaway and Boston Manor to tour with?

Joe: Great! Seaway are some of our best mates from Canada, we did our first tour ever with them. Boston Manor are sick too, they’re great guys and we’re so happy to meet them and have them on tour.

MN: What do you do on tour?

Joe: We like to go into a lot of shoe stores as a band. We don’t buy any we just look at them.
Nick: Size, JD, Footlocker we do all of them.

MN: Who has the bad touring habits?

Joe: Definitely Kevin. Kevin snores all the time. John tells stories a lot that sometimes that don’t even go anyway. They’re good stories.
Nick: That’s just his personality trait.

Copacetic has been out for nearly 8 months, are you happy with it’s response?

Nick: It’s been sick, we’re really happy with it’s response.
Joe: It’s been rad, the crowd reactions between old and new songs is really comparable.

What are the deeper meanings that Copacetic touches on?

Joe: Our fathers.
Nick: Anxiety, things that you wanna say to people but maybe it’s not the right time. Coping with the things that are negative and realise that you’ve just got to take what you get in life.
Joe: There is more to live than just the negative things.

Growing up how did you find pop punk?

Joe: The first actual alternative band I listened to were a ska punk band called the Suicide Machines. When I heard them for the first time it was fast and I had never heard anything like it before.
Nick: I got a lot of my music from my brother. From a young age it was Green Day, Blink 182, Sum 41, Third Eye Blind.

Sum up Knuckle Puck in three words?

Nick: Big stupid idoits. Mic drop.

Knuckle Puck continue to tour with their fanbase only growing in numbers and the only way is up for the boys.
