Clean Bandit, the electronic pop troupe from Cambridge, held an intimate gig last night for fans at The Laundry in London Fields. With their logo - consisting of four different shapes - stuck on the walls leading up to the venue and with a giant projection of it outside The Laundry, the suspense was built for what was going to be an incredible gig!

After an exceptional six months, the venue was packed with 'Bandits' and members of the press, eager to hear the talented group perform. With their track 'Rather Be' featuring Jess Glynne, currently the most successful single of the year and the first to stay in the number one spot for four weeks since 2011, there's no doubt they're all on a high. They shared this feeling with the crowd and the performance was energetic from the very start, kicking off with their track 'Mozart's House'.

Clean Bandit have an intelligent sound with a group that consists of Jack Patterson on bass and keyboard, Grace Chatto on the cello, Milan Neil Amin-Smith on violin and Luke Patterson on drums and occasionally, on vocals. The combination means they are able to produce a unique sound of electronic music mixed with classical and deep-house elements.

After singing at the top of our voices to one of my personal favourite track's, 'A&E' and also to some superbly selected cover's including Robin S' 'Show Me Love' and SBTRKT's 'Wildfire', the crowd were more than ready for their chart-topping number. As soon as the violin began playing the first notes of 'Rather Be', the whole room exploded as we had all come to see this track in particular performed... and we were not disappointed!

Clean Bandit have certainly made their mark and I for one can't wait to see what they do next!
