Favourite Style of Music: Indie Rock, Acoustic, Musical Theatre

Artists who inspire you: Ed Sheeran, Passenger, Kodaline, Imagine Dragons, Bastille, Green Day

What would be a perfect day for you?
Jamming with a guitar during a picnic with friends on a fresh spring day.

What would your friends say they appreciate the most about you?
I try to be as honest as I can, so I guess people always know where they stand with me.

What is your most valued material possession?
Probably my camera, just because it helps me capture very special moments.

What do you like most/least about the music industry?
I like that there seems to be a change in the attitude of performers in general, who seem to be trying really hard to produce high quality music rather than cheap and meaningless but annoyingly catchy tunes.

What skills/personal attributes are most important to being successful in music?
I think you just need to remember who you are and keep your feet firmly on the ground. Work hard in silence and let your success speak for itself.

Who were you, or would you be nervous to meet?
Probably Ed Sheeran, he would have to be the ideal artist for me to collaborate with.

Is there something you would like to do more of in the future?
I’d like to keep working on more original songs, both in Maltese and in English and I’d also love to work in more musical theatre productions.

Where would you like to find yourself in ten years?
I’d much rather live my life day by day than set far-fetched goals and be disappointed if I’m not able to achieve them. The only thing that I want is to be happy doing whatever I’m doing at that moment in time.

What personal advice would you give to someone wanting to pursue a career in music?
It’s a tough industry to be in because you constantly feel like you depend on the opinions of the people around you. Some people will push you further than you could have ever gone on your own; however, you will also find people who drain you of all your energy with their negativity. Just learn to recognise who your friends truly are and be proud of who you are and of the music that you’re creating.
