What would be a perfect day for you?
A relaxing day, cooking while listening to Rat pack music and then spending the evening with my wife watching a movie.
What would your friends say they appreciate the most about you? Honesty and being straight forward.
What is your most valued material possession?
An autographed photo of Sir Alex Ferguson which features a special dedication.
What do you like most/least about the music industry?
Nowadays, I think that the music industry focuses too much on the image, marketing and followers on social media. Sometimes we forget the most important thing… good music which does not need computer enrichments but can stand on its own without the distraction of backup dancers, visual enhancements, etc.
What skills/personal attributes are most important to being successful in music?
To be successful one needs to study and play with other musicians. When listening to what others are creating you can improve your musicianship as well as develop your own style.
Who were you, or would you be nervous to meet?
Danny Elfman (film score composer) as he has achieved so much in creating so many different scores in various genres.
Is there something you would like to do more of in the future?
Yes, hopefully have more time to compose music.
Where would you like to find yourself in ten years?
Usually I take one day at a time, but I wouldn’t mind having my own professional recording studio set up ten years from now.
What personal advice would you give to someone wanting to pursue a career in music?
If you believe that you are good enough… Do it! If you don’t believe that you’re good enough… give it a try! Who knows, you might have a hidden talent.
