Following the success of ‘The Lexicon of Love’ UK tour for October and November 2016, due to high demand ABC have announced the details of a final show at London's iconic Royal Albert Hall on Thursday 6th April 2017. With all shows on the tour nearly sold out this will be a chance to see the band perform ‘The Lexicon of Love’ in its entirety for one final time.
A mere 34 years since the release of one of the landmark albums of the 80’s, ABC returned earlier this year with the release of their most resounding triumph ‘The Lexicon Of Love II’ on the Virgin EMI label. The UK tour and special added date for 2017 will be accompanied by the Southbank Sinfonia. ABC will be performing their debut album ‘The Lexicon Of Love’ in its entirety plus all the greatest hits and tracks from ‘The Lexicon Of Love II’ including BBC Radio 2 A listed single Viva Love and Flames of Desire.
Sonically doffing its cap to the original, ‘The Lexicon of Love II’ features 10 brand new songs from the pen of ABC kingpin Martin Fry, aided and abetted by various musical cohorts. Taking a less innocent, more experienced view on affairs of the heart than its million selling predecessor, but it still manages to conclude that all you need is love.
Speaking on the new London Royal Albert Hall show Martin Fry said:

Foremost among Fry’s collaborators on the new album is Academy Award winning musician and composer Anne Dudley, who has been the long standing conductor on ABC’s critically acclaimed sold out orchestral shows. Anne has provided orchestral arrangements that give ‘The Lexicon Of Love II’ its signature sound, and has co written two of the key songs on the album: ‘The Love Inside The Love’ and ‘Brighter Than The Sun’.
