Faithless is the latest big name act to join the stellar line up of the BBC Music Awards. In the ultimate celebration of the popular music year, the BBC Music Awards will recapture the spirit of one of the biggest musical moments of 2015 as the BBC Concert Orchestra teams up with Faithless for an electrifying live performance of their classic dance anthem Insomnia, in homage to this summer’s Radio 1 Late Night event at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.
This unique Insomnia collaboration will unite the full forces of an orchestra with the magic of Ibiza dance from one of the most impactful, memorable and joyous music events of the year.
Faithless said: “We are so looking forward to playing the BBC Music Awards in December. Our Radio 1 show in Ibiza was one of our favourites of the summer. It will be great to cap off our European tour by playing our track 'Insomnia' with a full orchestra for you all in Birmingham!”
The BBC Music Awards take place on Thursday 10th December between 4 – 6pm. Tickets are priced £39 - £53 and are available from bbc.co.uk/musicawards. Radio 1 will be on air and backstage throughout the event from 4 – 7pm. The event will then be broadcast on BBC One, Radio 2 and at bbc.co.uk/music at 8pm the same evening.
