“Bourbon and the Truth will come at you pretty fast. It’s anxiety driven and chaotic. It’s a comment on the turbulent state of the world from the point of view of a recovering alcoholic desperately in search of a reason not to relapse.” – Pete Gardiner

Hailing originally from Northern Ireland Pete Gardiner is a songwriter and lyricist of a rare quality, a true songsmith. Starting writing and performing at an early age, more recently Pete has been working with London based indie label The Animal Farm where he has recorded his last four singles.

Pete is now based in Kent and he performs regularly in clubs and music venues in London and the south east.

Attending one of his recent gigs, Dave Pegg, bass player with one of Britain’s most successful folk rock bands, Fairport Convention, said of Pete:

“I was very impressed by his performance, his lyrics reminded me of Bob Dylan, Loudon Wainwright and Al Stewart’

Indeed it is Pete’s lyrics that impress people most of all.

Bourbon and the Truth is released on Animal Farm Records on January 31st.
