Alysha – ‘Dreams’
Following on from the stunning success of her debut single ‘David Attenborough’, which landed on the Unlimited Pop Now playlist on Spotify, 17-year-old newcomer Alysha looks to continue her laid-back flow with the release of ‘Dreams’. Lifted from her forthcoming debut EP ‘Midnight Rendezvous’, she follows in the jazz-inspired footsteps of artists like Sade on this blissful and serene new gem.
Hazlett – ‘Monsters’
With his previously shared singles ‘Fireworks’ and ‘Suncats’ lighting up our ears earlier this year, Australian singer and songwriter Hazlett now looks to cap of his 2019 in style with the anthemic ‘Monsters’. Taking his poetic inspirations from fellow contemporaries such as Vance Foy and Ben Howard, this rousing and thunderous return brings us more of that bold and vibrant sound we have enjoyed all year.
TONI&MASH – ‘I Want It’
Having spent the last few years working on their own solo projects, British/German duo TONI&MASH recently returned to deliver their debut EP ‘I Want It’, featuring the explosive title-track. With a diverse and uncompromising style, ‘I Want It’ kicks off the pair’s latest release, introducing us to their world of harsh electronics and nods to the 80s synth-powered sound in the process.
Die Orangen – ‘Wires In The Outback’
After the pair stunned us with their brilliant debut album ‘Zest’ in 2017, Australian-born but Berlin-based duo Die Orangen recently continued their self-proclaimed “Krautback” sound with their sophomore LP ‘Zwei Orangen’. Opening up with the sublimely eerie and atmospheric ‘Wires In The Outback’, this new offering delivers a short and sharp reminder of the pair’s vibrant and ever-evolving direction.
Saskia – ‘For You’
As a prominent figure in the London folk scene for many years now, Saskia Griffiths-Moore returns from her recent tours in the US and Germany to deliver the powerful and heartfelt ‘For You’. Recorded in partnership with Music For Mental Wealth at London’s Abby Road studios, the song also features a 40-person choir and string quartet, adding to the grandeur and emotion that remains the backbone of her latest offering.
