For Sean Reid life began in Zimbabwe; he stayed in Mauritius and Nigeria before landing in sunny Glasgow in his 12th year. His mother is from Zimbabwe and father from Glasgow. He's been entertaining for as long as he can remember; but in 2003 he decided to put his money where his mouth is and tried his hand at stand up comedy; he performed for a couple of years.
He started making beats and rhyming after someone showed him how to use Fruity Loops, fast foward a couple of years and he’s suported the likes of Taio Cruz, Lemar, Ms Dynamite and Akon. Not bad considering he's not officially released anything yet !
He was chosen to perform on the T-Break Stage at T- In The Park 2009, then In late 2010 he moved to London and signed a deal with Discpline Music in January 2011; He released "All I Need Is You" which was No.1 on Sky Music channel Flava, and also received airplay from Mtv Dance, Kiss and Radio 1. He parted ways shortly after this and returned to Glasgow, his time in London was bittersweet; but had invigorated him to return to comedy at his friends comedy night Wasasa.
Music was always calling however and at the beginning of 2012 Sean was asked to write a vocal to a dance tune called "Espanglish” as Sean explains:
"little did I know that the song would have such a following here in Glasgow. We did a typography video for it, and uploaded it to youtube, and it just went bananas, we were at 30,000 views in a couple of weeks. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzegLYnGo8Q) . George Bowie rinsed it on The GBX Show on Clyde 1 for months; which helped the cause. George and Clyde 1 invited Sol Fiesta to come with them to Ibiza and to Amsterdam for the legendary boat parties. Epic Fun...we put the X in xperience. "
In 2016 Sean was asked to become one of the contributors to BBC the Social with BBC Scotland. He was responsible for the segments like Front Seat Freestyles and Mixed Race Minutes.
In 2018 Sean released 2nd single “Do That” which was remixed by up and coming producer BoyPanda.
Flashbacks will be Sean's 3rd release but his 1st release through powder records .
