Early on, you probably didn’t have too much hope for Lil Nas X’s Old Town Road. Surprisingly, this has been one of the most popular songs of the year. In fact, it just made history by becoming the longest number song on the Billboard charts. That is impressive when you consider that the song blends several genres.
While you’re at it, you should get to know the man behind the song. Just recent, Lil Nas X came out as a homosexual. It happened right around Pride Month so it was indeed well-timed. When you consider his race and sexuality, you will agree that Lil Nas is doing great things for his community.
Bow Wow Slams Wendy Williams
Bow Wow has never shied away from controversy. Well, the singer took things one set further this week. When Bow Wow spotted a picture of Wendy Williams in a bikini, he just couldn’t control himself. He took to Twitter to bash the television host. Unfortunately, things have seemed to backfire on Bow Wow. Fans have been quick to lash out at Bow Wow for his antics. Most have poked fun at the fact that Bow Wow hasn’t done much during the past few years.
There is a good chance that he’ll keep his fingers to himself the next time around.
The Blind Prodigy
it is really tough for Billy Joel to make headlines today. The singer has done it all. Still, there are times when he manages to rise above the modern nonsense and create a great story. This happened this month when he invited a 14-year-old to play piano on stage. In fact, the boy played a duet with the legendary singer. So, why was this so special? Well, the boy was actually blind. The moment was emotional for many. If you get a chance to check out the video, you should do so. Just remember to keep some tissues nearby. There is a good chance that you’re going to need them.
Zac Brown Band Returns
Fans haven’t heard much about the Zac Brown Band in several years. They haven’t released any new music since Welcome Home was released to the public in 2017. Fans will agree that it has been too long. Well, that is about to change. It has been revealed that the band will release The Owl on September the 20th. The collection is going to feature many collaborations too. For instance, it will include collaborations between the band and Benny Blanco, Ryan Tedder, Skrillex, Andrew, Watt, and more.
While it is still a long time before the album is released, you won’t have to wait that long. After all, the band has already released a new digital single. Leaving Love Behind was released at midnight on July the 26th. Be sure to check it out so you can get hyped for the new album.
Kodak Black
Finally, it is not uncommon for rappers to go to jail. However, it is unique for them to actually make threats behind bars. Well, Kodak Black did just that this week. He launched a freestyle threat at Yung Miami from Jail. According to one of Black’s team members, the freestyle was recorded on a phone from the rapper’s jail cell. The Florida-based rapper was arrested by federal agents earlier this year. Yung Miami’s boyfriend has already responded to the craziness. Kodak is currently behind bars on charges of grand theft of a firearm, neglecting a child, possession of marijuana, and more.
So, it is probably going to be a long time before he is freed.
