United Stations Radio Networks, Inc. (“USRN”), an independent leader in the creation and marketing of network radio programming, production, and technical services to radio stations, is excited to announce the introduction of THE RECORD by USRNTM, a new media channel curated by the company and intended to utilize the radio network’s audio and video resources to expose music and artists.

The announcement comes from Andy Denemark, USRN’s EVP/Programming and Kristin Verbitsky, the company’s manager of Social Media.

The Recordwill begin as a music-oriented web series with the intent of building out a full media channel focused on bringing new music to the forefront. With the constant changes in how music is distributed, consumed, curated and promoted, USRNhopes to play a role with The Record in exposing music and artists to music fans in a way in which there are no limits by geography, by current popularity or by genre.The Record by USRN will focus on artist interviews and in-studio acoustic performances, many of which will be recorded in the company’s video studio at its New York City headquarters. Music manager, marketer and composer Jonathan (Jonny) Wax is set to host the new series, with Kristin Verbitsky producing.

To kick things off Howie D. of Backstreet Boys fame christened the studios for the premiere episode of The Record by USRN, and his appearance is now viewable below.



Regarding the new web content, Jonny Wax commented, "I'm really looking forward to working with United Stations and helping to shine a spotlight on these talented artists from around the globe. It'll also be a thrill to help out the fans that we reach by enabling them to get to know the stories of these musicians as well as see them perform in such an intimate setting."
