New to the UK, the new American Pale Ale, Old Man Grumpy will land on the 13th June. Named for their grouchy but gifted Head Brewer, the Chicago based brewery are hosting a celebratory evening at their UK home, The Goose Island Brewpub in Shoreditch.

As a prelude to Father’s Day, they have invited some of the UK’s funniest and grumpiest comedians to perform, and tickets are free.

Sean Lock is one of the most celebrated comedians around, performing sold-out arena shows throughout the UK and regularly appearing on TV shows such as 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown. His grumpy outlook and grouchy observations about the modern world make him the ideal candidate to perform in these intimate surroundings.

Paul McCaffrey’s quick, jovial banter has marked him out as an audience favourite and he recently toured with Kevin Bridges on his UK tour playing to more than half a million people.

Mick Ferry, a fine purveyor of lugubrious surrealism will host the evening, keeping it all together with typical grumpy hilarity.

Comedy and great beer go hand in hand and Old Man Grumpy is a deliciously drinkable American Pale Ale sure to put a smile on the most grouchy faces. This lighter-bodied ale is dry hopped with Huell Melon and Mosaic hops, giving the beer a tropical, pineapple, profile, followed by piney hop characteristics, all balanced with a subtle, malt sweetness and clean finish for a less bitter, rounder and juicier american pale ale.
