Yorkshire born recording artist YUNGBLUD releases a new song, “Parents,” today.

“’Parents’ is a tribute to individualism,” explains YUNGBLUD. “You are the best judge of how to become the best you. Don’t conform to the outside world’s perception of who you should be if it means losing yourself in the process.”

The genre-blurring track’s bright, euphoric sound contrasts with its blistering lyrics. YUNGBLUD co-wrote “Parents” with Justin Tranter (Julia Michaels, Fall Out Boy) and the song’s producers, Zakk Cervini (Good Charlotte, Mayday Parade) and Chris Greatti (Grimes, Black Veil Brides). Cervini and Greatti also served as producers on YUNGBLUD & Halsey feat. Travis Barker – 11 Minutes, which has racked up over 140 million cumulative streams since its release in February. He has also partnered with Z2 Comics on an original concept graphic novel, YUNGBLUD presents The Twisted Tales Of The Ritalin Club, slated for release in October and available for pre-order in deluxe and standard editions now.

Stereogum recently declared, “The Time Has Come To Discuss Yungblud.” The essay praised his music as “undeniably potent” and noted, “Yungblud dissects the hypocrisy of his elders more sharply than most.”

Less than a year after the release of his debut album, 21st Century Liability, YUNGBLUD has amassed more than 100 million global streams across all songs on the album. “Parents” follows his single “Loner,” which has over 12 million combined global streams, and his new album, Live In Atlanta, which was recorded during his sold-out 2018 headline outing.

Yungblud will head out on a UK and European tour this Autumn including London’s O2 Academy Brixton! The dates will see him perform in Germany, Italy, France and more before hitting the UK in November at venues across the country – tickets on sale now. Yungblud has been performing at sold out venues all over the UK this year and has been announced to perform on the main stage at Reading and Leeds Festival this summer.
