Turan releases beautiful 'Ruby' video with dancer Marina Stoimenova

East London based artist turan today releases the video for ‘Ruby’, which captures turan’s the emotion through remarkable dancer Marina Stoimenova, whom turan sparked a conversation with on Instagram.

The video is directed by rising artist Antonia Luxem and features a cameo from Elena Tonra (Daughter) who also lends her backing vocals. Ruby tells the story of turan’s late grandmother Ruby’s passing. It explores the thoughts and emotions one deals with, and the questions you are left with when a loved one departs.



“Everyone has their own Ruby, a strong woman who has been a beacon of strength, a pillar in our lives and the reason we are who we are today”, says turan. The message Ruby delivers is one of female strength and resilience. Turan created a stunning documentary video to highlight strong female role models and Ruby’s influence, which features Island Records president Darcus Beese and publicist Imran Malick.
