Slaves are kicking off 2019 with a brand-new video for the contemplative track ‘Photo Opportunity’ from their acclaimed album ‘Acts of Fear and Love’.

The video finds the pair forgoing their more madcap tendencies and instead creating something both funny and touchingly nostalgic. Directed by Keane Shaw and shot in and around Tunbridge Wells (site of the band’s early years), it sees two younger versions of Isaac and Laurie killing time and messing around in a way that will be familiar to anyone who grew up in the quiet suburbs.

The track itself finds Isaac struggling with an existential crisis as his life changes and he is recognised more and more in the street. It careens from a soft guitar line to a huge, pounding riff, and an emotive, singalong chorus built for big rooms.

2018 was a landmark year for the band with the release of their third top ten album ‘Acts of Fear & Love’. Live it’s also seen the band moving up to the next level with them playing their biggest ever UK headline shows to date, including a night at London’s legendary Alexandra Palace, headlining the NME stage at Reading Festival, touring Europe supporting the Prodigy and taking their blistering mix of beats and riffs to the USA with high-profile slots at festivals like New York’s Governors Ball and a nationwide tour.
