Spotify can reveal that global superstar Elton John has recorded exclusive Spotify Singles tracks, which are released today. Elton John’s exclusive Spotify Singles tracks are Bennie and the Jets and a cover of Khalid’s Young Dumb & Broke, which features Khalid himself on the track.

The two tracks were recorded for Spotify live at The Colosseum, Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.
Bennie and the Jets is one of Elton John’s most famous tracks – originally released in 1974 and featured on Elton’s iconic Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album. Young Dumb & Broke was originally released in February 2017 as the second single from Khalid’s debut solo album American Teen.

Elton John has achieved 38 gold and 31 platinum or multi-platinum albums, and sold more than 300 million records worldwide, and holds the record for the biggest selling single of all time,Candle In The Wind 1997. He has over 4,000 performances in more than 80 countries to his credit. This year saw Elton named as the most successful male solo artist in Billboard Hot 100 chart history, having logged 67 entries, including nine No. 1s and 27 Top 10s.
Elton John says: “I discovered Khalid's music a few years ago, and have been a fan ever since. We finally met when I played his home town of El Paso last year. It's a thrill to be a small part of any new artists' journey, and it's been wonderful to see his star continue to rise and rise. 'Young Dumb & Broke' is a fabulous song, one of my favourites and I'm really pleased that he liked my cover enough to contribute vocals."
Spotify Singles are a series of two-track ‘singles’, which see both emerging and established artists re-recording one of their biggest hits, and also a cover version of a favourite track. Artists who have recorded Spotify Sessions to date include Taylor Swift, Janelle Monáe, Shawn Mendes, Lily Allen, Def Leppard, CHVRCHES, Jack White, and The National.
