NOS Alive are proud to announce that Thom Yorke will be playing an exclusive set for the feted Portuguese festival, appearing on the Sagres Stage on 13th July. Also newly announced for Lisbon next summer are acclaimed American songwriter Sharon Van Etten and British rising star Jorja Smith playing on the 11th July and Dutch indie band Pip Blom on the 12th. All are confirmed for the Sagres Stage.

Thom Yorke is one of the most requested names to play Portugal by the country's avid music fans. Performing alongside longtime producer and collaborator Nigel Godrich and visual artist Tarik Barri, the revered British singer will perform songs spanning his solo works 'The Eraser' and 'Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes' as well as Atoms For Peace’s 'AMOK'.

For the first time, Portuguese fans will finally experience the sonic evolution Thom Yorke has been working on over the last couple of decades. In a perfect combination of electronic beats and voice, this sensorial trip is set to be one of the biggest highs of NOS Alive 2019.

This combination of Thom and Nigel’s sounds with Tarik Barri’s stunning visuals has generated praise the world over, with Uproxx raving “Youtube clips of the performance can’t do justice to just how breathtaking and engrossing it all was…. Yorke’s commitment to his solo material might be exactly what he wanted, allowing him to blow audiences away with a fully-realized, immersive, and often breathtaking show”. It also prompted Variety to comment: “One of the show’s many highlights was visual collaborator Tarik Barri’s gorgeous visuals that accompanied Yorke and Godrich’s heady sounds.”

NOS Alive 2018 welcomed Arctic Monkeys, Nine Inch Nails, Pearl Jam, Jack White, The National, Queens Of The Stone Age, Chvrches, Friendly Fires, Franz Ferdinand, Perfume Genius, Wolf Alice, Sampha, Jain and many more incredible acts to Lisbon last July. Now looking forward to it's thirteenth year, NOS Alive continues to develop its impressive international reputation as Portugal's premiere summer event and is considered as one of the world's best festivals by The Independent, Q, NME, Time Out London, Consequence of Sound, Les Inrocks, Stereogum, Musikexpress and London in Stereo amongst many others.
