Last night (28th November) Spotify UK brought together some of the world’s biggest hip-hop, grime and R&B acts from the UK and internationally to perform in front of a sold-out crowd of 10,000 at London’s Alexandra Palace. Spotify’s Who We Be live show saw an unbelievable line-up of internationally renowned performers, including French Montana, Craig David, NSG, Lethal Bizzle, Raye, and Ghetts, alongside a host of very special guests.

Kicking off the night’s proceedings was afro-bashment pack NSG performing their huge hit ‘6:30’ with Manchester native Geko. Next up, ‘Ghetto Gospel: The New Testament’ creator Ghetts who was joined on stage by Ambush and UK MC Chip.

South London native Raye pleased the crowd with chart-topping hits including ‘Cigarette’ and ‘Decline’ and was followed by a surprise performance from viral sensation, Unknown T.

Grime king and London legend Lethal Bizzle’s performance at Ally Pally proved exactly why he is a leader within the scene. Fast paced and energetic, the audience of 10,000 went crazy when BBK legend JME bounced his way onto the stage to join Lethal Bizzle alongside Tempa T.

Canadian native, Tory Lanez, performed his anthemic hit and fan favourite, ‘LUV’, before he jumped into the crowd and surfed across fans, tearing the roof off Alexandra Palace. Craig David presents TS5 was every inch the British legend the London crowd were expecting, treating the crowd to iconic hits including ‘Seven Days’ and ‘Fill Me In’, alongside a remix of Robin S’s ‘Show Me Love’.

‘Unforgettable’ hitmaker French Montana also tore up the iconic London venue with a little help from Stefflon Don and UK rap royalty Krept & Konan, closing the show with fan favourite and chart topper, ‘No Stylist’.

Last November, Spotify kicked off its live debut with the very first Who We Be Live. The inaugural show sold out Alexandra Palace, and saw unforgettable performances from the likes of Cardi B, Giggs, Dizzee Rascal and J Hus. In 2018 Who We Be expanded to two events, with a sold-out show at Birmingham’s O2 Academy in June, featuring Jaykae, Mabel, Lotto Boyz, Ms Banks, Sneakbo and Yungen, followed by a triumphant – and now award-winning* - return to the Ally Pally.

Austin Daboh, Head of Shows and Editorial for Spotify UK said: “Spotify’s third ever live UK show has once again showcased what Spotify and Who We Be are all about. We’ve now sold over 23,000 tickets to Who We Be Live shows in London and Birmingham over the last 12 months, proving without doubt the UK’s love and support for the future of hip-hop, grime and R&B. We are very proud to support new and exciting urban talent, and want to say a huge thank you to all of the incredible performers and to the ten thousand fans who blew the roof off Ally Pally tonight!”
