Celebrating its 10th Anniversary in January 2019, the London A Cappella Festival will feature an epic line-up of international headliners and vocal supergroups, promising to be an unforgettable, extra-special celebration of the best a cappella talent from across the globe.
As one of the world’s most established celebrations of international a cappella talent, the London A Cappella Festival (LACF) draws the world’s finest a cappella performers to the capital each year. The festival has enjoyed unprecedented success since its inception in 2009, running annually with sell-out performances, talks, showcases and workshops. With over 4500 visitors each year, LACF is now a staple in the a cappella calendar and has grown to become one of the country’s most-loved and eagerly awaited celebrations of vocal talent.
2019 Highlights:
Internationally acclaimed composer and singer Laura Mvula with Europe’s finest female vocal quintet Black Voices (performance and workshop)
American pop-jazz vocal sensations m-pact (performance and workshop)
Legendary Cuban superstars Vocal Sampling
Three of the UK’s best University a cappella groups The Techtonics, The Rolling Tones and The Bristol Suspensions
Sublime Bulgarian vocalists The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices
Global a cappella phenomenon and festival co-hosts The Swingles (performance and workshop)
Alongside these headliners, the festival will feature a jam-packed array of workshops, free interactive events, talks and showcase performances from aspiring local and international groups, as well as LACF Kids.
The festival also sees the return of the hugely popular LACF Kids on Saturday 26 January, bursting with events to celebrate all things a cappella, featuring a performance from American national champion high school a cappella group Vocal Rush as well as workshops from Rachel Staunton, Director of the London Youth Choir, and Lisa Forkish, Director of Vocal Rush.
